I studied mechanical engineering in the UK and commenced my building services career with Cundall in London before relocating to Sydney. I am all about closing the performance gap between building design and operations, as this has a big impact on emissions and is a key component of the climate change challenge. I spent some time working with a prop-tech start-up in the building operations space, and this consolidated my understanding of using data to enhance building design and performance.

New ways of thinking and undertaking day-to-day business are required to change the status quo. The construction sector is lagging behind in technology adoption and needs to catch up. At Cundall we're in a position to shift this by introducing new ideas to tackle problems, advise clients, and use the tools and data available to maximise value delivered on all fronts.

Collaboration, both internal and with other stakeholders including clients, technology start-ups, builders and building operators is important in closing the performance gap and creating efficient, sustainable buildings. We need to engage everyone in the process of solving our industry's challenges.
