Stockland targeted 5 Star Green Star ratings – a first for its industrial portfolio assets – for two new logistics buildings at their Willawong Distribution Centre. Located on a total site area of approximately 47,000m² each building provides space for two tenancies comprising warehouse space and associated office space.

Our building services expertise and Green Star experience was applied at feasibility stage to embed sustainability outcomes. The scoping of Green Star requirements examined energy and water saving approaches including solar water heating, energy efficient lighting, native landscaping and rainwater collection for non-potable uses. Cundall also supported construction delivery and the process towards relevant Green Star verification.

"Having a long-term relationship with Stockland was an asset for this new application of Green Star, as we had a thorough understanding of their aspirations. The Willawong project acted as proof of concept for Green Star ratings on the client’s industrial developments, and these are now being widely adopted across their logistics facilities portfolio." Dave Collins, Associate Director.
