Calum Perey

I have always loved solving technical problems. This has led to a very fulfilling career in engineering, joining the Cundall structural team in Dubai in 2017. I have dual Bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Management from The University of Queensland, and have studied abroad at Purdue University and the University of Wyoming in the United States, as well as undertaking engineering research at Tianjin University in China. I’m passionately involved in the industry as a whole, working with the UAE regional group for the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), and was fortunately elected to join the global council in 2020 and 2021.

Working at Cundall means I am surrounded by like-minded designers, all striving to deliver excellent results. My colleagues all have a desire to share, teach and improve not only their work, but also the work of others. I’m proud of and passionate about the projects I’m involved with, and get excited about delivering solutions that improve our built environment.

Cundall strives for creative solutions that both consider the future and challenge how we deliver our designs. I personally have extensive involvement in the digital engineering changes and progress that we are making, and am involved in the Cundall Futures group - where we look at how we as a business can align with the latest technology and research.
